Wo de Impression in Taiwan

When I was writing this story, it was recently turning to 9th months for living, exploring, experiencing and learning as a student in Taiwan. There are so many things that made me impress Taiwan more and more whether it be people, cultures, foods, cities & landscapes, transportations or my university.  I would say that I may spend many hours to describe how my impression in Taiwan, so I decided to describe some but for the rest, it would be better if you (who are reading my story) experience them by yourself.

Wuliao Jian (五寮尖), Hiking is one my favorite activities in Taiwan

NATURE AND CITY LOVER ‘S PARADISE

With reliable and well-connected public transportation systems in Taipei metropolitan area including train, metro and bus which are very convenient to take me anywhere in Taipei and surrounding places within short time. I usually spend my leisure on weekend to mountains, beaches and rivers in New Taipei City area during the day and back to center of Taipei to explore night life in the heart of Taipei within one day. Especially, Taipei is surrounded by many mountains, hiking to mountain to see sunset and twilight with Taipei skyline is always

a great activity to make me relieve from research papers.

Xiangshan (象山) or Elephant Mountain in Xinyi District, east of Taipei. Great place to enjoy sunset with Taipei’s skyline

Tamsui (淡水), popular place for amazing sunset landscape in New Taipei City

DELICIOUS FOOD IS ALL AROUND

Food diversity in Taiwan

One of my favorite things here is food exploring! From my experiences, each part of Taiwan has different kind of food then when I plan the trip, not only places to visit but I also intentionally find “must eat foods” there as well or better call it “foodie trip”.  For example, in Tainan, there are many foods which I couldn’t find in Taipei such as beef soup, begin in the early morning and warm up with salty porridge milkfish which is an authentic Tainan flavor, then follow with rice cake topped with meat sauce and fish floss and end up with super delicious food which is eel noodle. I would say that if you are food lover, you will fascinate with Taiwanese food.

GREENERY LANDSCAPE NTPU CAMPUS

National Taipei University, Sanxia Campus

Our campus is located in Sanxia district, New Taipei City where less congested and surrounding with beautiful and greenery landscapes such as mountains, forest, rivers and lake. Those also made me relieve from research papers and enjoy the moment while study in NTPU. Moreover, architectures and buildings in NTPU are also outstanding and attract me. I personally like NTPU campus because the campus keeps me away from hasten Taipei, living in NTPU campus is literally my comfort place.

So far, I have no regret to choose NTPU and Taiwan for my master degree, living to Taiwan for me is not just for a degree but Taiwan also gave a lot of living abroad experiences through people I met, foods I ate, places and cultures I learnt. If you are reading until here, it almost the end of some part of my story Taiwan, I would recommend International College of Sustainability and Innovations (ICSI) at National Taipei University (NTPU) as one of your choices because ICSI would definitely fulfil your master discipline, ICSI would provide you not only the degree but also international vibes among classmates, Taiwanese culture learning through many field trips and very kind ISCI members who have willingness to help you while living in Taiwan.
