【UIC Associate Dean Visits NTPU to Explore Future Collaboration】
Dr. Andriy Bodnaruk, Associate Dean at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), visited National Taipei University (NTPU) on November 25, 2025, for his first on-campus exchange. He was welcomed by a delegation led by Dr. Thijs A. Velema, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, together with Dr. Chi-Jui Huang, Dean of the College of Business; Dr. Chia-Ying Chan, Dean of the International College of Sustainability Innovations (ICSI); Dr. Kuo-Hsun Ma, Associate Dean of ICSI; Dr. Min-Yu Tai, Director of the Fintech and Green Finance Center; Dr. Chun-Yu Lin, Director of AACSB and International Relations; Dr. Chien-Lin Lu, Director of MBA in Finance; and Dr. Haobijam Basanta, College Secretary of ICSI. The visit underscored NTPU’s strong commitment to building a partnership with UIC.
This exchange followed months of discussions between UIC, the College of Business, and ICSI, during which both sides reached a preliminary consensus on future collaboration. Through college presentations, Dr. Bodnaruk gained an overview of NTPU’s institutional development and academic strengths, and he expressed appreciation for the university’s efforts in internationalization, sustainability, USR initiatives, and EMI bilingual education. He also commended ICSI’s initiatives to support international students, align curricula with global trends, provide scholarship opportunities, and offer diverse experiential learning programs.
UIC is a leading U.S. public research university, ranked among the Top 250 globally by Times Higher Education (2025), 334th in the QS World University Rankings, and 84th among U.S. national universities in U.S. News & World Report (2026). The visit represents an important step toward deeper cooperation in academic research, faculty and student exchange, and international partnership development.
